It’s always a pleasure to read warm and cozy Christmas-themed stories around that holiday time. Melody Carlson has provided a lovely story in A Royal Christmas which is her contribution this season.
Being warm and cozy, a novel like this can be a little cheesy. I found this to be true of this novel, however, it was also a delight to read. Ms. Carlson included some sadness, mystery, intrigue, and romance in this novella. I found the characters believable in a fantasy sort of way. The location of the story was a bit contrived, but also brought a lightheartedness to the book. I enjoyed Ms. Carlson’s contribution to the holiday season. She has a gift for storytelling. I have read other works by her and liked them very much.
