“Fetching Sweetness” by Dana Mentink

“Fetching Sweetness” by Dana Mentink was a lighthearted novel featuring a lovable big lug of a dog, Sweetness..  Stephanie Pink has a dream to be literary agent.  Rhett Hastings is on his way to his sister’s in a dilapidated old camper.  When the two run into each other at a campground while Stephanie is trying to catch the runaway “Sweetness” in order to return her to her owner; they are bound together by circumstances to spend a few days travelling together.  Sweetness belongs to the author whose manuscript Stephanie is desperate to retrieve.  Sweetness leads them on a merry chase and provides the two characters with adventures that seem to bring them to full awareness of their goals in life.

I loved the book because it made me laugh.  I hope other books by Ms. Mentink are as humorous as this one.  I will definitely read them.

I received a complimentary print copy of this book by LitFusePublicity.com in return for my honest review.

Fetching Sweetness Dana Mentink

A recipe for love and loss, merriment and mayhem, fun and faith in the backwoods of the Pacific Northwest can only be found in Fetching Sweetness by Dana Mentink. It should have been so simple for Stephanie Pink: Retrieve a reclusive author’s valuable new manuscript and be promoted to a full-fledged literary agent. But when the author’s canine companion, Sweetness, makes a break for it and Stephanie has to track Sweetness down, she meets Rhett Hastings. They’re in for a surprising string of adventures and misadventures.
