“The Enemy Inside” is a fast-paced thriller, written by Steve Martini. Some ideas in the story take technology as we know it and use it for evil. A young man is involved in a fatal car crash. The dead woman is known to him, but he cannot remember why he was at the scene of the crash, how he arrived there and nothing before. Attorney Paul Madriani, his partner Harry Hinds, and their investigator Herman Diggs are brought into the case not knowing how involved they will get. They are pitted against international terrorism and American political corruption of the highest order. The characters are so intertwined with each other that it’s hard to know who the really “baddest” guy is. The story gets pretty gory at times, although once you start the book, you just have to finish it. For readers who enjoy political intrigue, convoluted storylines, and thrilling drama, this is a truly riveting novel.
