Arianna carries hurt from the past with her. Her best friend, Frieda, and intended, Quill, leave the Amish community together one night, leaving Arianna hurt and heart-broken. Quill, in the meantime, has been clandestinely helping other Amish leave the community quietly and secretly and establishing them in another place. Quill returns to help another Amish family leave and Arianna believes that it is her sister, Susie. She confronts Quill and finds that all is not as it seems. She finds out things about herself and her life that are startling and will require her to re-evaluate her circumstances. Her life will never be the same.
