“While Love Stirs” by Lorna Seilstad

“While Love Stirs” by Lorna Seilstad is a sweet novel about the difficulty of women seeking a role in what was forever a man’s world.  Charlotte Gregory has graduated from cookery school and has visions of becoming a chef in a major restaurant.  Her hopes are dashed when she finds that those restaurants are headed by men who are not willing to give her a chance to prove herself.  Her sister is in the hospital recovering from childbirth.  When Charlotte visits, she is appalled at the food that the hospital serves.  She has had training in nutrition and especially for the ill.  She is adamant that she could provide a menu that would help, not hinder, the recuperative progress of the patients.  Her sister Hannah’s doctor, Dr. Joel Brooks, is not agreeable to her demands.  However, through the story his attitude changes with a little help from Charlotte.

I think you’ll enjoy this sweet story about a young woman seeking to prove herself and also about the two men who vie for her attentions.

I was sent a print copy of this book by Revell in return for my honest review.
