Huckleberry Hill by Jennifer Beckstrand

“Huckleberry Hill” by Jennifer Beckstrand, and published by Zebra was a refreshing novel.  I very much enjoyed the book and recommend it for an easy read.

The story is about a young woman who is sent to help out elderly family in another location.  This husband and wife were determined to be matchmaker for Lia.  She has been ridiculed all her life about being so very tall and despaired about ever finding a husband and having a family.  Her family was all about making sure that her younger sister, who was deemed more beautiful and desirable, married well.  Their continued jabs and comments deeply hurt Lia very much.  This story is about standing up for yourself and being happy with the graces and abilities that God gave you.

I was sent a free kindle copy of this book by Night Owl Reviews in return for my honest assessment of the book.
