“The Trouble with Cowboys” by Denise Hunter is the third book in the Big Sky Romance series. I thought this was a very easy to read novel with all the aspects of a good romance story. Annie Wilkerson lives in Moose Creek, Montana with her sister Sierra and Sierra’s son, Ryder. Both girls grew up with ideas that romance with a cowboy was impossible. They both felt this way because of the life their mother led and the fact that their cowboy father took off and left them. Annie is a horse trainer and is helping Dylan Taylor rehabilitate his blind horse. Of course there is immediate attraction between them, which Annie tries to dispel. She is dating a banker…nice guy, but no sparks. She is also trying to make sure that her little sister, Sierra, stays in school, gets her degree and settles down. There is more to this story than meets the eye, however. Sierra is holding secrets and Annie can’t control her any more. Nor can she control her feelings for the forbidden cowboy. Read this novel and find out the rest of the story.
I received a free print copy of this book for my honest review from the publisher. The opinions expressed here are my own.
