“The Orchardist” by Amanda Coplin

I couldn’t wait to start reading “The Orchardist” by Amanda Coplin.  I thought the synopsis that I’d read previously promised that I would like this story.  However, I really did not enjoy reading this book.  I don’t know why, but I never got involved with any of the characters.  I never felt a warmth or connection among the characters in the whole story.  I loved the idea of reading a story about those who started the many orchards in Washington and Oregon, but I didn’t feel any connection to this book.  I’m sorry, but I did not like the dialogue between characters.  I felt that there was no emotion or feeling between characters that had lived their lives together and it just didn’t hold my interest.  I would not recommend this book.

I received a free Kindle copy of this book for my honest review from the publisher.  The opinions expressed here are my own.
